The State of Things

It is difficult -

  • to be patient when all you hear are complaints, complaints and more complaints. Nothing is ever good enough. Isn’t it time you change your attitude and outlook instead of harping about the sorry state of things? Really. It is starting to get on my nerves.
  • to be supportive when all you hear are putdowns of your own effort. If you can’t say anything good about anyone else’s work, roll your tongue before you open your mouth. I guarantee it will get you plus points instead of biting remarks and hurt feelings.
  • to be friends with people who think nothing of lying to you.
  • to try and understand men and women who get bitten by the green-eyed monster and can’t see straight. It is sad when they accuse you of something that defies logic but seems so real in their fragmented mind. I don’t know how or why I happen to become the object for this idiotic thought, but one thing I do know: my patience is wearing thin. I am not a patient person to begin with so please tread lightly.
